Appointment Bookings
Connecting 3C Connect so homeowners book a real slot without leaving their estimate, what arrives in your inbox, and where you see who booked.
3C Connect is the only platform that supports in-page booking. The homeowner picks a real arrival window on their results page, and the appointment appears in your 3C inbox straight away with the estimate attached.
Connecting it
In Company Settings → Integrations:
- Paste your 3C Connect booking page URL — or just your office slug — into the field. We pull the slug out of the URL and show you what we read.
- Turn on Offer embedded booking on estimate results.
- Save, then press Verify connection.
The report tells you four things:
- Whether online booking is switched on at your end in 3C Connect.
- Whether the Site Visit service was found.
- Any fee 3C Connect lists against that service.
- A service-area ZIP alignment table, comparing your Instant Estimate HQ service-area ZIPs against the ZIPs 3C says you cover (first 100 checked).
The ZIP table is informational — nothing is blocked by it. A ZIP 3C doesn't cover simply falls back to the "we'll be in touch" message.
The Site Visit service
Bookings go against a dedicated service in your 3C catalog, deliberately separate from your normal online-booking services so it can't disturb workflows you already run.
It must be named exactly Site Visit, under HVAC → Residential. We find it by matching that name. If it's renamed in 3C, in-page booking stops finding it and every homeowner silently falls through to "the team will be in touch."
Everything else about it is yours: duration, whether it's free, which department it belongs to, and which technician it's assigned to. We don't read or change those, and editing them doesn't affect the integration. Most contractors mirror their existing new-install estimate service and assign it to whoever runs estimates.
What the homeowner does
The panel opens inline on the results page — a Date calendar on the left, that day's windows on the right under Select Arrival Window:, then Confirm visit.
If 3C lists a fee against Site Visit, a line appears warning that it may apply and that you'll confirm before the visit. On success they get the day and window, the address on file, your phone number, and an Add to Google Calendar button. If someone takes the slot first, they're told to pick another time.
Time zones
Arrival windows are stored as exact moments and shown in the viewer's local time. Homeowners in your service area are in your time zone, so they see what you see.
This only surprises people during testing — run a test estimate from another time zone and the windows appear shifted by the difference. The appointment itself is unaffected; your 3C calendar always shows the correct local time.
What arrives in your inbox
The appointment carries the homeowner's name, phone, email and full address, plus a note with up to three lines:
- Online Estimate Link — straight to the lead in your dashboard.
- Current System — left out when you don't ask homeowners about it
- Desired System
Process it exactly as you would a new-install estimate request. The only difference is how much you already know.
Seeing who booked
While Offer embedded booking on estimate results is on, your dashboard shows which leads booked a visit:
| Where | What shows |
|---|---|
| Estimates list | An Appointment column with the visit's date and start time, such as Oct 15, 9:00 AM, or Not booked. |
| Estimates filter | Appointment shows only the leads who booked, or only the ones who didn't — handy for follow-up calls. |
| A lead's detail page | An Appointment card with the arrival window, such as Thursday, October 15 · 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, and when it was booked. |
| Export CSV | An Appointment column after Lead Temperature, with the visit's date and start time. It's blank when the lead didn't book. |
Times show in your browser's time zone — see Time zones. Leads from before you turned booking on show Not booked. Turn booking off and the column and filter go away, but a lead that booked still shows its appointment on its detail page.
Limits worth knowing
- One booking per estimate. A homeowner can't double-book off the same estimate.
- No self-service cancel or reschedule. The confirmation tells them to call you; changes are made in 3C as usual.
- A failed booking still produces a lead. The homeowner sees "You're all set — the team will be in touch", and the lead is in your dashboard and CRM as normal. If a lead arrives with no matching appointment, that's why — call them.
- Changes made in 3C aren't reflected. Your dashboard shows each visit as the homeowner booked it. If you reschedule or cancel it in 3C, your 3C calendar is the source of truth.
