Plans & Pricing

Every company needs a plan to use Instant Estimate HQ. There's no free plan or free trial, and nothing is charged per person or per estimate. You choose your plan on the Choose your plan page the first time you sign in.

What's the difference between Starter and Ultimate?

Both plans run the same estimator and the same dashboard — nothing in the app is locked to either one. Ultimate adds a service: our team builds and runs the follow-up on your leads for you.

Each plan's card on Choose your plan sums up who it's for:

• Starter — "Best for contractors who want a steady flow of priced-out leads and handle the follow-up themselves."
• Ultimate — "Best for contractors who want every lead followed up instantly — we build and run it for you."

How much does each plan cost?

Prices are in US dollars and correct as of September 2026 — Choose your plan always shows the current ones.

It's one price for the whole company, whether your team is two people or twenty — up to 100, see Team & Roles. There's no limit on estimates.

Monthly or yearly?

• Monthly is charged every month. Your first payment includes the one-time $499 setup fee.
• Yearly is paid upfront for the year, with no setup fee. The Yearly tab shows what that saves you compared with twelve monthly payments plus the setup fee: "Free setup included — save $888 vs monthly" on Starter, and $1,288 on Ultimate.

Either way, your plan renews automatically until you cancel. Canceling stops the next renewal — you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and there are no refunds for unused time (see our Terms of Service). You can move between monthly and yearly later — see Manage Billing.

How does the setup fee work?

• It's shown under each monthly price as "+ $499.00 one-time setup fee", and charged once, with your first monthly payment.
• It's never charged on a yearly plan, and never when you switch plans later.
• It's charged again if you cancel and later come back on a monthly plan.
• Some companies that joined through a partner have it waived — see Partner Billing.

Choosing your plan

Choose your plan appears the first time you sign in, and again any time your company doesn't have a plan. Only owners and admins can choose one — anyone else sees "Your company doesn't have an active plan yet. Ask a company owner or admin to choose one."

1. Pick Monthly or Yearly at the top.
2. Click Choose plan on Starter or Ultimate.
3. Pay on the secure checkout page. It's run by Stripe, our payment processor, so you'll see Stripe's branding there — and Ultimate may be listed under its older name, Unlimited. It's the same plan.

When the payment goes through, you're brought back into your account.

If a partner pays for your plan, you shouldn't need to choose one. If you're shown Choose your plan anyway, don't pay — email support@instantestimatehq.com first. See Partner Billing.

I paid, but I'm still on the plan page

It can take a few seconds for your payment to reach your account. Wait a moment, then refresh the page. If you're still on Choose your plan after a couple of minutes, email support@instantestimatehq.com from the address you paid with.
