Home Visit Checklist
The list of what you'll do at the in-home visit — exactly when homeowners see it, and when they don't.
The home visit checklist tells homeowners what happens when your technician comes out to confirm their estimate. It sits next to the booking button, so it's the last thing they read before scheduling. Edit it in Company Settings → Form Options → Home visit checklist.
What homeowners see
When a homeowner clicks one of your priced options, they reach a page headed Confirm Your Estimate with a Free Home Visit. Beside the option they picked is a card:
"Here's what we'll do during the visit:" — followed by each step on your checklist with a green tick, directly above the Schedule Free Home Visit button. On a phone this card comes first, ahead of the option they chose.
When they don't see it
The checklist doesn't appear on the Schedule a Free Assessment page. When a home can't be priced online and the homeowner is sent straight to booking a visit, they never see it — despite the name, it only shows after a homeowner has chosen a priced option. See Online Estimate Home Visits for when that happens.
It also doesn't appear on the page listing all your options — only after one is chosen.
Your account starts with ten steps
New accounts come with a ten-step checklist already written, covering a comfort walkthrough, measuring the house, inspecting the existing equipment, ductwork, electrical panel, refrigerant lines and thermostat, local code and permits, and a final check of the estimate. Rewrite any step to match how your technicians actually run a visit.
Ten is also the limit, so the Add button stays hidden until you delete a step.
Limits
- Up to 10 steps, 200 characters each. A short sentence per step reads best — the card is narrow.
- Blank steps are removed when you click Save.
- Don't delete every step. An empty checklist still shows the card and its heading, with nothing under it.
Rebates & Incentives
Which states show rebates on your estimate results, what homeowners see, and what to do if your state isn't covered.
Cookie Notice
An optional notice at the top of your estimator that tells homeowners the page uses cookies and asks before their visit is recorded — what it says, when it goes away, and how to turn it on.
