Pricing Range

Showing homeowners a price range instead of one exact number — how the range is worked out, where it appears, and where the exact price still shows.

Company Settings → Price Book → Pricing Range shows homeowners a range — $15,159 to $18,159 — instead of one exact price. It's off to start: both amounts are $0, which shows the exact price.

How the range is worked out

  • Below price (−) is taken off your price to give the low end.
  • Above price (+) is added to your price to give the high end.

Both are dollar amounts from $0 to $5,000 — there's no percentage option. One side can be $0: set only Above price (+) and the range starts at your exact price. The low end never goes below $0.

For a $16,159 price with $1,000 below and $2,000 above, homeowners see $15,159 to $18,159.

What homeowners see

The range replaces the price under From* everywhere a price appears: on each of your options, on the option they chose, on multi-zone mini-split options and on hydronic options.

  • The monthly payment still uses your exact price. As low as $X/mo is worked out from the price, not the range.
  • The same dollar amounts apply to every option, so the range is proportionally wider on your cheaper options.
  • The ends aren't rounded. Your price is shown to the dollar, so the ends of the range are too.
  • Options showing Request a quote don't change.

When changes reach homeowners

The range is saved with each estimate when the homeowner submits, so a change applies from the next estimate — old results links keep the range they were given.

The arrows in each box step by $100, but you can type any amount up to $5,000.
