Hydronic Heating

Offering boilers, combi boilers and air-to-water heat pumps — one starting price per option, and what homeowners see.

The Hydronic Heating family in Company Settings → Price Book covers three options: a boiler, a combi boiler and an air-to-water heat pump. It starts switched off. Switch it on and homeowners can pick Boiler, Combi Boiler or Air-to-Water Heat Pump, both as the system they'd like and as the system they have now.

What you set

Three options, each with its own name, price, specs and photo:

OptionStarts asSpecs you can add
GoodBoilerAFUE
BetterCombi BoilerAFUE
BestAir-to-Water Heat PumpHeating COP range, Noise (dB)
  • Equipment name — what homeowners see on the option. Clear it and it goes back to the starting name when you save.
  • Starting price (From) — the price homeowners see. Leave it empty to hide that option.
  • Specs — each is optional; leave one empty to hide its badge.

Photos save the moment you add them; everything else needs Save.

Always flat-priced

Hydronic options show the price you enter, whatever your pricing mode. Business Pricing doesn't apply, and homes aren't sized — the home's square footage and age don't change the price, and a homeowner who doesn't know their square footage still gets prices.

Location surcharges do apply, added as entered.

What homeowners see

Whichever of the three they pick, homeowners see every option you've priced, side by side — so a homeowner who asked for a boiler also sees your air-to-water heat pump. Each option shows:

  • Your tier name above the option name — with the starting names, Premier over Air-to-Water Heat Pump, Value over Combi Boiler and Economy over Boiler. See Package Tier Names.
  • Your specs, as badges such as 95% AFUE or 3.5–4.2 COP.
  • The price under From*, or as your range, with As low as $X/mo.

There's no "we typically recommend a … system" line, since nothing is sized.

  • An option without a price is left out.
  • With no prices at all, homeowners who pick a hydronic option are offered a home visit instead.

Things to know

  • Hydronic Heating has no Reset to defaults, and isn't included in CSV import and export.
  • It has its own selling points. Its Included with every install bullets can be customized as the Hydronic Heating system — see Customize for Specific Systems.
  • Switching it off hides all three answers from both system questions — including for homeowners who have a boiler now.
